Hi, my name is Amanda and I am the owner of Artfully Embellished!
A little fun fact about me; I was a Professional Tattoo Artist for 6 years! This was until shortly before having my second child and deciding to step away from the profession to stay at home and raise my kids. I have always been an artist and have dabbled in many different crafts and hobbies.
Artfully Embellished originally started out as a place for me to sell and display the graphic work I was doing to help out a friend’s boutique but quickly turned into much more...
Crocheting became my main hobby after I finally decided to tackle a purse kit I had purchased to re-teach myself. After many trials I finally finished and decided that I wanted to participate in a charity project called “Beanies for Bravery” which was started by Heidi Yates of Snappy Tots. Those were the first hats I had ever done and it felt wonderful to be a part of something so great. Now that I saw what I could accomplish, I knew I wanted to try and do other patterns and I had my eye on a beautiful ruffle skirt pattern by Briana Olsen of Bowtykes. Id never imagine that in a few short months I would be a part this wonderful network group that she too was a part of! I slowly started trying new patterns and was surprised at the beautiful items I was creating. Once I started doing more and more I knew that I wanted to start selling my crochet creations!
Jump ahead a couple of years and my Hobby ADD or ability to only do one crafty thing, kicked in. Through following another fabulous crafter, Hoffee & A Nuffin, I was inspired to start carving rubber stamps! I carve custom logo stamps as well as designs of my own creation. I love seeing the ideas come to life!
So from beautiful hand-carved rubber stamps to quality crocheted pieces, you never know what crafty things you'll see popping up here at Artfully Embellished.
